| Job Duties: |
Responsible to the Operations Manager for the efficient management of ship operations such as loading / discharging of cargo, sea passage, bunkering and instructing agents and Masters in accordance with company's policies. Directly liaise with port agents and Masters of the ships assigned to him/her regarding daily operations. Co-ordinate with agent / port / customs / immigration authorities and ensure quick turnaround of vessels. Monitor status of vessels' daily bunker remaining onboard and bunker consumption and report to operations manager for schedule of replenishment of it. Monitor consumption of fresh water onboard vessels and replenish it accordingly. Monitor status of trading certificates for vessels assigned to him/her. Monitor daily position/movement and voyage details of all vessels assigned to him/her. Monitor status of surveys, co-ordinate with Technical Superintendent and concerned surveyors. Cost accruals such as freight, demurrage, dispatch, bank charges, hire, inspection costs, etc. Revenue collection of all ships assigned to him/her. And when authorized by the operations manager, directly liaise with various parties on matters relating to revenue collection & payments and for finalizing all documentation for ships assigned to him/her. Preparation of operational reports. Other duties as assigned from time to time. |
| Qualifications: | Diploma/Degree in Maritime Transportation or related major preferred. |
| Desired Working Experiences: |
At least 2-3 years’ dry cargo operating experience in ship owner/ manager or broking company. Good knowledge of charter parties including operations and post fixture work. Good negotiation, communications and interpersonal skills. Responsible, team player and analytical. Demonstrate excellent customer and supplier relationship skills. |
